On June 25, 2022, Heather and Nate said I do on one of the year’s most beautiful days. It was warm, sunny, and so magical.
We traveled to Quincy, just outside of Boston, to get ready at the Holiday Inn Express. We quickly shuffled to the historical Saint John the Baptist Parish, where Nate’s mother sang for them, accompanied by a harpist and pianist. Then finally, we headed to Granite Links, a 27-hole golf club, to celebrate the rest of the evening. We took all the portraits at this location, and it was stunning. A special portrait location is available only to couples who booked weddings there called the Ruins. It was the perfect time of day, and the lightning was everything. And bonus, one of the staff drove us in a golf cart. It was a special experience.
For the entrance, since all the friends at the wedding party were athletes, the boys came in on rollerblades. You heard me! I was given a heads up as it was a surprise, and a very cool surprise indeed. The ladies come in with their lacrosse sticks, too. You’ll notice during the entrance when Heather was literally swept off her feet that her one foot was in a boot. She did a great job of hiding it throughout the day.
After the first dances, we moved into speeches, had some time for extra portraits, and then had a very delicious dinner. Before they broke out into dancing, we cut the cake and slipped away for some incredible sunset portraits. Once we finished up the last of the formal photos, it was party time. Their guests loved to party, too. They loved playing with the camera and showing off, and I was there for it. I would go back to Boston and do it all over again.
Heather and Nate have been engaged since 2019, so this was a long time coming. I wish you two the best, and enjoy your forever honeymoon.
